ABOUT ME
I’m Kenzie, a certified life coach and peer mentor who helps young adults build clarity and confidence in a world designed to distract them. Like any Gen Z, I grew up on the internet. I came home from school and went straight into the digital wormhole. For hours, I watched videos, movies, and TV shows. I read stories, scrolled feeds, listened to music—consumed, consumed, consumed.
After years of this, I started to experience moodiness, malaise, and poor self-esteem. In college, I regularly engaged in self-sabotage, substance abuse, and toxic relationships. But things spiraled out of control in 2019 when my close friend died by suicide.
During the pandemic, I lost my way, logging 12 or more hours of screen time a day. I escaped into the internet as both a consumer and a creator, until one day, it hit me: my life was passing me by. I had so many dreams that I’d allowed self-soothing distractions to steal away, but… I had free will and could change that.
At 23, I decided to replace those unhealthy habits with evidence-based techniques to heal my mind and body. I started multiple businesses, which allowed me to leave my part-time job in high school education and pursue self-employment full-time. Now, I’m a social media marketer, consultant, and coach. I’ve worked as an academic tutor and youth mentor for over 5 years. I’ve served as a volunteer mentor at a local community college and on wellness apps that reach a nationwide audience. Through my mentorship program, I’ve worked with young adults, college students, and recent graduates from all over the globe.
In my work, I’ve witnessed firsthand the tremendous power a young adult can unlock through guided conversations with a close-in-age thinking partner who’s 3-5 steps ahead. My coaching approach is grounded in real experience, not hopes or hypotheticals. I’ve lived through the same struggles today’s young adults face, which allows me to connect with my mentees on a deeper level.
I don’t judge them for where they are because I believe in who they can be.
As a mentor, I guide young adults into reframing their obstacles as opportunities. The lack of motivation, structure, and purpose can be remedied by implementing small changes each day. My transformation inspired me to create the Zenith Mentorship, a program designed to help Gen Z and their parents navigate the unique challenges they face.
